Privacy Policy

Draft placeholder — to be reviewed before launch.

We don't require accounts and don't collect personal information on this site. Your vehicle selection stays in your browser. To list makes and models, your browser contacts the U.S. NHTSA vPIC service.

Local Shop Repair Prices: we don’t ask for your name, email, or phone, and we never store or share personal information. Posts you submit (shop, location, service, optional vehicle, price, date and notes) are public and visible to everyone, so please don’t include personal information in your notes. To limit spam, we keep only a salted one-way hash of your IP address (never the IP itself) to count posts per hour; it is not linked to your post and is deleted within about an hour.

Receipt photos: if you snap or upload a receipt, it is read entirely in your browser (using the open-source Tesseract.js reader, which is downloaded from the jsDelivr CDN). The photo is never uploaded or stored by us. Only the fields you review and choose to post are sent.

Links to retailers may be affiliate links; those retailers may use cookies under their own privacy policies to track purchases. If we add analytics or email alerts, this page will be updated.
